Cleanest one yet, with new features.
This one works a bit differently: To shoot, first pull the bolt back and then press space. To reload, hold R and drag the magazine with the mouse cursor.
I haven't had much chance to bug test it yet, so if you find anything strange feel free to tell me.
Also no fire modes and/or safety on this one since that's boring and I'm lazy.

I have a video that proves that you were correct the first time.  The Thompson does have a bolt hold open mechanism of some sort.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=shJbuR…; After the last rounds are fired, the bolts are clearly in the rearward positions.  It is a rare thing for early sub-machine guns to have, but the Thompson does have one.

i mean why do you have to press spacebar to shoot and and instead of holding the R button and click and dragging the magazine, you could remove all those and make it to like press R or click mag to reload and pull back the bolt
Sorry if you dont understand it
Remind me if you actually don't understand it. ;)

That does indeed seem to be a popular demand. If I do another fully automatic, it'll almost certainly be an MP40.

I noticed that if you hold R while pulling the bolt back after a reload, the gun fires automatically.

Looks pretty good.
Only one detail though, when the Mag is empty the bolt will stay locked back. normally if you pull the trigger and there are no more rounds the bold will snap forward with now chance if it being cocked back be a round.

Minor detail there but otherwise its cool.

You sure? The people I talked to when programming this said that if the magazine still is attached the only way for the bolt to snap forward is if the bolt lock mechanism is old/weak.

Bolt lock mechanism? oh boy... wanna know what holds the bolt back like that? a small little nub on the inside of the weapon, this nub will lower when you pull the trigger.

The Thompson fires from an open breach AKA: open bolt/bolt back. there isn't a mechanism that gun that will stop the bolt when empty like a pistol's slide will do.

the only bolt lock that I can recall is manual which will stop the weapon from firing all together.

Fun fact: most soldiers back in WW2 didn't really count their rounds, they just waited for the bolt to be stock forward to know it was time for a reload. it was the same with the MP44

I tried it before writing this reply.

Much better, its exactly like the real thing now.

I'm kinda wondering why you changed from clicking to pressing keys though. but its still nice regardless.

If you need to know any details about the Thompson, don't hesitate to ask.

Well, the main reason for putting keys in there is because the magazine release is on the other side, and also I wanted to make it so that you have to pull the magazine with the mouse, which wouldn't be possible if it were occupied with pressing the magazine release. After implementing that I tried making the fire action a key press instead, and I liked that a lot more since it made it possible to do things with the magazine while pulling the trigger at the same time.
